The project provided operational and technical support to the Ministry of Economy and Planning to develop and operate advanced macroeconomic models. It built a general equilibrium model for the national economy, linked sector‑specific models, established methodologies and data integration, and enhanced the ministry’s technical capabilities through training and knowledge transfer.
A. The Challenge
The ministry lacked the expertise and tools to build and maintain complex economic models to inform policy decisions and evaluate economic scenarios.
B. Our Solution
Specialists developed and calibrated a general equilibrium model, integrated diverse data sources, standardised modelling processes, and offered extensive training and technical support to ministry staff.
C. Key Achievements
A comprehensive economic modelling platform was delivered; staff acquired advanced modelling skills; and the ministry gained the capacity to perform evidence‑based economic analysis and scenario planning.
